Final Curtain Closes for Peter Pan Players after 39 Years

May 7, 2012 - After the death of Isobel Rosenbloom Rudy five and one half years ago, the decision has been made by The Board of Directors to close the doors of Peter Pan Players Children's Theatre.

The mission of PPP has always been to teach theatre for children and to teach the art of theatre to those yearning to learn the basics of theatre from improvisation to managing the stage. Changes are occurring in the management and we feel that our mission will not continue.

There are so many in the theatre community that got their "start" with Peter Pan Players. Our hope and desire is that one of our community theatre groups will add the "Fairytale" plays to their season, because the love of theatre should begin with children. Miz Iz always repeated her "Princess"plays every five years, because as she used to say "every little five year old girl needs to meet "Snow White."

Peter Pan Players has created magic for so many years in the Shreveport-Bossier community and the Board of Directors and all those involved to remember it as just that - "MAGIC."

A special thank you goes out to all directors, coordinators, actors, musicians and parents that have kept the magic going!
